The Mayor of uMngeni Municipality, Chris Pappas takes pleasure in inviting the following stakeholders within municipality to meetings to discuss the IDP and the Budget for the 2025/2026 financial year:-
> Chairpersons of housing estates.
> Law enforcement including SAPS, CPFs and community watch organisations and security companies.
> Ratepayers Associations, Howick CBD, Merrivale and Hilton businesses, shopping centre managers, retail managers, shop owners and factory owners.
The meetings will be held on Friday, 2 May 2025 at the Municipality’s Council Chambers on Cnr of Somme and Dicks Streets in Howick at different times. Please see the invites below for more information.
The Khulumanathi / Talk to Us Progamme forms part of the preliminary meetings ahead of the preparation of the review of our Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and to outline the draft budget.
These meetings will be convened in terms of Chapter 4, Section 16 (1) of the Municipal Systems Act 32 of 2000 and the Municipal Finance Management Act 56 of 2003.
