His Worship the Mayor of uMngeni Municipality, Chris Pappas, Deputy Mayor, Sandile Mnikathi and Council Speaker, Janis Holmes welcoming the KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Sport, Arts and Culture, Mntomuhle Khawula at the Howick Museum ahead of the International Museum Day celebration to be held at Nelson Mandela Capture Site later today in collaboration with AMAFA and uMngeni Municipality.
The MEC also went on a walkout in the revamped Howick Falls precinct.
The theme or this year’s theme International Museum Day celebrations is “the Future of Museums in Rapidly Changing Communities”. The spotlight is brought onto the vital role museums play in the well-being and sustainable development of our communities.
